Happenings in Haiti - September 2020

"Hope makes life."

This Haitian proverb embodies so many of the values we hold dear at Potter & Clay Ministries. In all that we do, the hope of Christ and the people and faces you see below, remain at the center of all we do.

Throughout the craziness of this year, our team has been on the ground in Haiti, supporting our friends and their families. The only way this is possible is through your prayers and support.

Kerlemcy and Family

Kerlemcy (right) has been a huge inspiration for Potter & Clay Ministries.

His dreams, creativity, and ingenuity helped us see the need to provide community-based services in Northwest Haiti. Kerlemcy was the inspiration to begin providing clean drinking water as well as a way to store rain water. (Read and see more here.)

Thank you for making it possible to support families like Kerlemcy's!

*Special Giving Opportunity*

Potter & Clay Ministries Education Initiative supports parents as they strive to ensure their children receive an education. Due to the struggle this year has placed on students and their families, we are seeking to expand our school program.

If you would like to be a part of guaranteeing a child's education in Haiti, you can do so by donating today.

If you have any questions about Potter & Clay's Education Initiative or would like to get involved with your small group or Sunday School class, we would love to talk with you more about how you can change a child's life here in Haiti. Email us today!

"Thank you for keeping my son healthy!"

Providing formula for babies who cannot be breastfed is a huge burden for families in Haiti. That's where our formula program comes in! We currently have six babies in Potter & Clay's formula program. To read more or provide formula to a family in need, check out this page.

"This filter protects my family's health."

Potter & Clay's water filter program is a tangible way to make a difference in a family's life. It keeps them healthy, and gives parents peace of mind. For only $25 per filter, thats a HUGE impact! In the last month, we distributed 100 water filters to families in surrounding communities.

Kerlemcy and Rodson, Potter & Clay's agronomist, are pictured above striking a pose in Kerlemcy's garden. Having access to fresh food daily is essential for a growing, hard-working boy like Kerlemcy.

Potter & Clay's Agriculture Initiative exists to make sure that access to fresh food is a reality for families across Northwest Haiti. We are looking forward to replicating this program in other areas this fall!

**Stay tuned for a blog post featuring an amazing addition to the Agriculture Initiative coming later this month!**

A Note from Us-

We truly feel like the most blessed girls in the world to have YOU on this journey with us. Your support, prayers, and kind words mean everything to us. It really does take a village for Potter & Clay Ministries to exist and we feel so fortunate to see both sides at work to show others the love of Christ.

While we strive to have an impact on others through Potter & Clay, we can promise you that our lives are the ones being impacted the most. ❤️

PS - We would love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out to us anytime here in Haiti by email.
